Presented is a Chicago Bears away game jersey worn by Rex Grossman in 2003 which was his rookie season. Grossman’s number “8” have been sewn on in navy and orange tackle twill on the front, back and shoulders. “GROSSMAN” has been sewn on in navy and orange on a matching white nameplate. Above the player number on each sleeve is the embroidered “Reebok” logo patch. On the bottom front of the V-neck collar is the embroidered official “NFL Equipment” logo patch. On the inside back collar is a patch that reads “03-46”. On the front left tail is the “Reebok” manufacturer’s tag attached to that is a size “46” flap on it. The jersey has white spandex sides and custom elastic sleeves. This jersey displays excellent game use overall with scrunched identifiers, loose threads and soft malleable tagging.
Also highlighting the jersey is Grossman’s autograph on the back of the jersey number “8” in silver paint pen (“9”). It also has a PSA/DNA NFL Auctions COA and matching sticker affixed in the collar.
Rex Grossman is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL), most notably with the Chicago Bears. Grossman played college football for the Florida Gators, where he was named AP College Football Player of the Year and won the 2002 Orange Bowl as a sophomore. He was selected by the Bears in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
The Chicago Bears selected Grossman with the 22nd pick of the first round in the 2003 NFL Draft. Head coach Dick Jauron kept Grossman sidelined as a rookie in favor of veteran quarterbacks Chris Chandler and Kordell Stewart.Grossman only saw playing time during the later portion of the 2003 season after the Bears had been eliminated from playoff contention. His season ended when he was forced to leave the final game with a broken finger.
