Evander Holyfield Worn Hat & Lithograph Signed – COA JSA & 100% Authentic Team

Evander Holyfield is an American former professional boxer who competed between 1984 and 2011. He reigned as the undisputed champion at cruiserweight in the late 1980s and at heavyweight in the early 1990s, and is the only boxer in history to win the undisputed championship in two weight classes in the three belt era. Nicknamed “the Real Deal”, Holyfield is the only four-time world heavyweight champion.

Holyfield moved up to heavyweight in 1988, later defeating Buster Douglas in 1990 to claim the unified WBA, WBC and IBF heavyweight titles and the undisputed heavyweight championship. He successfully defended his titles three times, scoring victories over former champions George Foreman and Larry Holmes, before suffering his first professional loss to Riddick Bowe in 1992. 

Presented is a hat worn by Evander Holyfield in June 1992, when he was fighting at Ceasars Palace vs. Larry Holmes. Yes, he won that matchup which retained his titles (WBA, WBC & IBF).  Both items in this lot, (the hat and signed poster) were obtained by an employee at Caesars who delivered items to his room. Holyfield took the hat off his head and gave it to her. The black cap has “EVANDER Real Deal HOLYFIELD” custom embroidered on it by Graham Caps (label on inside band) by yellow/red. The provenance was recorded in a video attached to this listing.

For the lucky fan during the same encounter, a paper poster was also autographed in the room for her. He had the poster in the room, signed it in black pen (“9″) with a bible verse (Phil 4:13) and gave it to her.  It is a black and white portrait style poster featuring Holyfield holding his title belt centrally. The poster is intact but has expected wear, wrinkling and some tears from aging/display. It measures 19″ x 23-3/8” is in rolled condition.
