Presented is Jackson American Series Soloist electric guitar autographed by members of Def Leppard. Superbly autographed in silver paint pen (“9”) on the body of the guitar are five signers from the core of the band including: Joe Elliott, Rick Allen, Phil Collen, Rick Savage and Vivian Campbell.   The Guitar does not have a back plate on the back.  There is also some body scuffing at the edge and on the back of the guitar.  There has also been some paint touch up on the guitar edge.  The front of the guitar is in good condition and the guitar front is not affected by the wear.   The guitar was backstage at the Hard Rock, and has some battle wounds to prove it.

This guitar originated from a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino employee who worked with talented musicians that came to the venue to perform. He also worked with the curator of the historic memorabilia laden casino who had the access to many celebrities and musicians (and their memorabilia of course). As a collector, it was truly the place to be as it allowed his treasure trove to be amplified. He is now ready to bring some of those treasures to market. Take notice, in the process of obtaining autographs of the musicians he had them sign the body of a guitar which is more rare than the placed pick guard ones that are often brought to market. As a musician himself, he also made sure that the guitars in his collection were oftentimes elite models like this one.

Other interesting notes:

Guitar information: The Jackson American Series Soloist in Gloss Black, marking a new chapter in Jacksons history and being the very first Made in Corona, California flagship product line for the brand! Keeping in traditional neck-through Soloist construction, the guitar has a 3-piece maple neck with alder body wings and an ebony fretboard. We’re loving the inverted mother of pearl Sharkfin inlays that match the direction of the headstock. The guitar has handy Luminlay side dots to guide your way on a dark stage, and 24 jumbo frets that make quick leads and bends effortless. For electronics, the guitar has a HSS pickup configuration with a Duncan JB in the bridge and two SSL-6 single-coils for the neck and middle with the middle pickup being reverse wound-reverse polarity for hum-cancelling in the 2 and 4 positions. Other premium features include a Floyd Rose® 1500 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system for reliable tuning stability throughout daring and aggressive playing theatrics, Gotoh® MG-T locking tuners and Dunlop® dual-locking strap buttons.

The Hard Rock resort opened on March 10, 1995, as the world’s first rock and roll-themed hotel. The Hard Rock featured various memorabilia in conjunction with its music theme. Warwick Stone was the longtime curator for the Hard Rock Hotel and Hard Rock International. At the time of its opening, the resort contained $2 million worth of music memorabilia, including concert outfits worn by Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Madonna, and Van Halen. The Hard Rock also had a display dedicated to Kurt Cobain, and a piece of the plane that Otis Redding died in. Other items included one of Elton John’s pianos, a drum kit used by Stone Temple Pilots, and the shoeshine stand that James Brown worked at as a child.
