On November 20, 1999 after trailing for most of the game, the No. 10 University of Michigan football team rallied from a seven-point deficit with two touchdowns in the final 16 minutes to defeat Big Ten Conference rival Ohio State 24-17 on Saturday (Nov. 20) at Michigan Stadium in the Wolverines’ final game of the regular season.
Senior quarterback Tom Brady capped off Michigan’s final two scoring drives with touchdown passes, the second coming when he hit Marquise Walker on a 10-yard play with just 5:01 left in the game. Brady had drawn the Wolverines even with an eight-yard scoring strike to tight end Shawn Thompson with 37 seconds left in the third quarter.
