The Giant Ride Ferris Wheel Tin Toy Wind Up 1950’s

Presented is The Giant Ride Ferris Wheel wind up tin toy. The toy is entirely tin lithographed except for the hard plastic seats. Built in the 1950’s, it is nicely lithographed, including illustrations around bottom of entrance area (POPCORN, SOFTDRINKS etc.), refreshment stands and sideshow attractions. The toy works by the Ferris wheel spinning as a bell rings. The wheel on this one needs some work to rotate completely. The toy also has storage wear/aging/oxidation. This one is the 1950’s version by Ohio Art Co. It is scarcer than the Ferris wheel toy by Chein.  It measures 5″ x 11″ x 16-1/2″ tall toy w/built-in key.
