Pointer Sisters Signed CD Favorites Ruth Pointer, Sadako Pointer & Issa Pointer – COA BAS

The Pointer Sisters are an American pop and R&B singing group from Oakland, California, that achieved mainstream success during the 1970s and 1980s. Their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop, jazz, electronic music, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country, and rock. The Pointer Sisters have won three Grammy Awards and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994. The group had 13 US top 20 hits between 1973 and 1985.

The Pointer Sisters were scheduled to play six Australian dates in May and June 2016  with the lineup of Ruth Pointer, Issa Pointer and Sadako Johnson. Media reports indicated that Anita Pointer’s health issues necessitated her retiring from the group.

Presented is the “Pointer Sisters Favorites” CD which was released in 2008. It features 10 of the sister’s favorite all time songs including Jesse Spano’s beloved, “I’m So Excited.” Signers on the cover in black felt tip (“9”) include: Ruth Pointer, Sadako Pointer and Issa Pointer. The CD is included.
