Metallica Band Signed Guitar Snakebyte Electric ESP (7) James Hetfield, Hammett, Ulrich etc. – COA JSA

Presented is James Hetfield model Snakebyte ESP electric guitar autographed by members of the front man’s band Metallica. Superbly autographed in silver paint pen on the body of the guitar are signers from the main core of the band including: James Hetfield; Lars Ulrich; Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo. Guest guitarist Steve Wynn also added his autograph to the piece as well.

The guitar itself is a custom Signature Series model of front man James Hetfield. The ESP Snakebyte was created based on James’ own original design. This sleek black one was made with Metallica design decals with lyrical graphics “Enter Night”.

This guitar originated from a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino employee who worked with talented musicians that came to the venue to perform. He also worked with the curator of the historic memorabilia laden casino who had the access to many celebrities and musicians (and their memorabilia of course). As a collector, it was truly the place to be as it allowed his treasure trove to be amplified. He is now ready to bring some of those treasures to market. Take notice, in the process of obtaining autographs of the musicians he had them sign the body of a guitar which is more rare than the placed pick guard ones that are often brought to market. As a musician himself, he also made sure that the guitars in his collection were oftentimes elite models like this one.

Steve Wynn was a guest guitarist at the Hard Rock concert. He is an American singer, musician and songwriter. He led the band The Dream Syndicate from 1981 to 1989 in Los Angeles, afterward began a solo career, and then reformed The Dream Syndicate in 2012.

The Snakebyte ESP guitar was made by hand at the ESP Custom Shop in Japan, the ESP Snakebyte is a Signature Series model of James Hetfield, the frontman of Metallica and one of the world’s most highly respected rhythm guitar players in any genre. The Snakebyte was created based on James’ own original design. It features set-neck construction at 24.75″ scale, with a mahogany body and a single-piece mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and 22 extra-jumbo frets with a snake inlay at the 12th fret. The ESP Snakebyte is powered by James’ own EMG JH SET active pickups, and includes premier components such as a bone nut, Schaller straplocks, Sperzel locking tuners, and a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece. Available in Snow White or Black Satin finishes, as well as in a lefthanded version. The ESP Snakebyte includes a hardshell case and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from ESP. The Snakebyte is also available in an LTD version in Snow White, left-handed, and Black Satin (also available left-handed).

The Hard Rock resort opened on March 10, 1995, as the world’s first rock and roll-themed hotel. The Hard Rock featured various memorabilia in conjunction with its music theme. Warwick Stone was the longtime curator for the Hard Rock Hotel and Hard Rock International. At the time of its opening, the resort contained $2 million worth of music memorabilia, including concert outfits worn by Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Madonna, and Van Halen. The Hard Rock also had a display dedicated to Kurt Cobain, and a piece of the plane that Otis Redding died in. Other items included one of Elton John’s pianos, a drum kit used by Stone Temple Pilots, and the shoeshine stand that James Brown worked at as a child.
