On the front, back, and each shoulder is the player number “44” screened on in blue and orange. The Gator patch logo is present on the chest, sides are Spandex and the custom elastic sleeves are striped in team colors orange and white. Across the back is his name “THOMAS” in blue on a nameplate. The collar tagging shows it is a NIKE [size] 48 with 03 handwritten in black felt tip. An A. Ross memorial patch (for Eraste Autin) adorns one of the sleeves. This one also features a 2004 Chick-fil-a Peach Powl patch sewn on. The SEC patch is set in the center collar portion. Overall, the jersey shows tremendous wear with a notable sewing repairs on the shoulders, hit marks, scrapes, field marks etc. Overall, a great Gators gamer.

The 2004 Peach Bowl featured the Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes. Miami took a 7–0 lead when it blocked a Florida field goal attempt, and Devin Hester returned the ball 78 yards for a touchdown. In the second quarter, Matt Leach kicked a 34-yard field goal to make it 10–3. Roscoe Parrish scored on a 72-yard punt return, giving Miami a 17–3 lead at halftime, even though it didn’t score an offensive touchdown. In the third quarter, Brock Berlin threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Moore, and the Hurricanes led 24–3. Florida’s Chris Leak threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jemalle Cornelius as the Gators got within 24–10. A 32-yard field goal from Miami gave the Hurricanes the 27–10 win.

Marcus Thomas accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for coach Urban Meyer’s Florida Gators football team from 2003 to 2006. Thomas was picked in the fourth round with the 121st overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. On July 11, Thomas signed a 4-year contract with the club worth a reported $3 million. He also played for the New York Giants (practice squad) and Toronto Argonauts.
