Presented is a very rare ceramic art of James Dean by the Hollywood artist Kenneth Kendall. The edges document Dean’s name and living time period 1931-1955. Kendall was known as “The” James Dean artist and sculpted the large bronze busts of Dean that are located at The Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles and in The James Dean Memorial Park in Dean’s hometown of Fairmount, Indiana. Kenneth never kept a record of how many of these were made. The round art piece measures 9″ across. On the back he has engraved his name “Kenneth Kendall” and it has a red sticker affixed. Mr Kendall passed away in Los Angeles in 2006.
