In the early 1960’s Eric Clapton picked up the nick name “Slowhand” from the expression “slow-hand clapping.” During his forty plus year career he played with great bands as the blue inspired, Yardbirds, Cream, and Derek and the Dominoes. His greatest fame came as a solo artist. Considered by most as the greatest guitarist. Eric Clapton signed this pickguard in black felt tip (“9″). The pickguard was added to a black Fender Squire Stratocaster guitar. The guitar was placed in a custom display case which measures 23″ x 41.5″ with a 5” depth.
