Hard Knock Life Tour T-shirt Ryde or Die Hip Hop Rap Jay-Z, DMX, Method Man, Redman – First Tour L

Presented is a 1999 The Hard Knock Life Ryde or Die Tour rap concert t-shirt. The white shirt features an Anvil tag [size] Large and features the four main headliners on the front (Jay-Z, DMX, Method Man and Redman). The back features the tour cities.  This originated from one of the videographers that was documenting the concert series on tour with them. The shirt has age spots/discolorations throughout and some pink coloration along the bottom border. It measures 21″ from pit-to-pit and 29.5″ from top of collar to bottom border.

The Hard Knock Life Tour kicked off in North Carolina at Charlotte Coliseum featuring Jay-Z, DMX, Method Man, Redman, Eve, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Ja Rule, and Amil. The first rap tour of its kind, it boasted three groups/labels (Roc-A-Fella, Ruff Ryders, and Wu-Tang) all under the Def Jam umbrella for the 50-plus city trek. Many thought the tour would be a failure, but it ended grossing over $18 million, which was unprecedented at the time. A documentary about the tour, ‘Backstage,’ was also released in 2000.
