Presented is an incredible white race-worn suit that was custom made for Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and worn during the 1990 Winston Cup Series. Earnhardt is probably the most significant driver in the history of NASCAR. Many believe that he was destined to win that 8th Championship (in his career) before being taken away from the sport he loved and us all forever. He died in 2001 in a fatal three-car crash that happened on the final lap of the race. The NASCAR icon was inducted in to their Hall of Fame inaugural class in 2010. His body of work includes seven titles and 76 Cup wins. Earnhardt also collected 21 Busch Series (now Nationwide Series) wins in just 136 starts.
This one-piece fire suit is primarily white with accents throughout for the team in fthe form of black and red. It features all the proper and numerous sponsor logo patches sewn on the chest including: Winston; Goodyear; RCR – Simpson; Chevrolet; McDonalds; MAC Tools; GM Parts; Goodwrench; Western Steer; AC; and 76 gas stations.
The suit has a zipper front, and black stripes with “GOODWRENCH”; “GM Parts” (patch) and “MAC Tools” (patch) sewn on in adorning the sides of the legs and sleeves. The collar is black, with two red Chevrolet logos embroidered on. Earnhardt signed the chest, adding his iconic number “3” to his signature, on the left chest. This item shows tremendous use throughtout with strong soiling, and staining from the track (soot, exhaust, general car excretions etc).
