Presented is a pair of game worn Cleveland Indians flannel pants from the 1950’s. For player identification, a “14” was handwritten in black felt tip in the waistband. With that identifier, they are attributed to Hall of Fame Baseball member, Larry Doby. They also show additional names hand printed as most likely the pants were handed down through their system which was common for that era.  The tagging in the waistband show that they are Rawlings [size] 38. They show heavy use with wear/soiling/rips/holes throughout and discoloration from aging.

Larry Doby was an American professional baseball player in the Negro leagues and Major League Baseball (MLB) who was the second black player to break baseball’s color barrier and the first black player in the American League. He played for the Cleveland Indians (1947–1955) and became a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998.
