Buck Gurley Game Worn Jersey 1997 2000 Citrus Bowl Florida Gators – COA

Presented is a blue jersey that was game worn by former University of Florida Gators player during his career, Buck Gurley  (1997-2000). This jersey has the 2000 Citrus Bowl patch on the front of the chest. On the front, back, and each shoulder is the player number “99” screened on in white and orange. The sides are Spandex (purple) and the custom elastic sleeves are striped in team colors orange and white. Across the back is his name “GURLEY” in white on a nameplate. The collar tagging shows it is a Starter [size] 50 with year ’97 swatch. The jersey was custom hemmed along the bottom per player specification. It shows great wear overall with field wear and repairs. Overall, a nice Gators game jersey.

Buck Gurley was former American football defensive tackle. Gurley played college football for Florida. He played professionally in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was part of the 2002 Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl XXXVII. As a redshirt senior in 2000, he was a member of the Gators’ 2000 SEC Championship team. Gurley graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance in 2001.

The 2000 Citrus Bowl was a college football bowl game following the 1999–2000 football season. The game matched the Michigan State Spartans against the Florida Gators. Michigan State wide receiver Plaxico Burress caught a career-high 13 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns and Paul Edinger kicked a 39-yard field goal as time expired to lead the ninth-ranked Spartans to a 37–34 victory over the No. 10 Gators. Williams was later hired as the head coach of the Spartans.
