Ralph Branca and Bobby Thompson signed this ONL (White) baseball. The signatures are in blue ballpoint pen and grade “9” with the inscription, “Oct. 3, 1951” on the sweet spot. The ball itself shows toning throughout from age.

“In baseball history, the duo is famous for the” Shot Heard ‘Round the World”. That was a game-winning home run by New York Giants outfielder and third baseman Bobby Thomson off Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca at the Polo Grounds in New York City on October 3, 1951, to win the National League (NL) pennant.

These originated from a longtime collector who acquired a substantial amount of autographs traveling to many trade shows on the East Coast in the 1980’s-90’s. All the signatures along with rare inscriptions in his collection (especially Mickey Mantle) were obtained in person.
