Actor, Celebrity artist, Anthony Quinn Mexican: b.1915-2001. Artist and Actor Anthony Quinn was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was four years old. Before becoming an Oscar winning actor, Anthony Quinn had been a prizefighter and a painter. Between takes on location and films he drew, painted and sculpted. Some of Quinn’s best sculpture were created in Africa during the 1970s and 80s while Quinn was working there on a film. Quinn was also a student and friend of Frank Lloyd Wright. Anthony Quinn’s prints, paintings and sculpture have been featured world wide in galleries.
