The San Francisco 49ers followed up in 2002 with a 10–6 record and their 17th NFC West title; in this season, Terrell Owens had 100 catches for 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns. The 49ers hosted the New York Giants in the Wild Card playoff round, and after falling behind 38–14, the 49ers erupted to 25 unanswered points; Owens had two touchdown catches and caught two 2-point conversions in the 49ers’ 39–38 win.
These are Terrell Owens game-worn cleats from the 2002 season with the San Francisco 49ers. Nike cleats sports a red/white colorway, black upper portion as well as grey accents on the bottom. Interior tagging reports a size “15”. There’s also a special black felt tip “T.O.” marking on the back heel (left). One shoe has red laces (right) and the other has white laces (left). Fine wear is evident with scuffs, dirt residue, and transfer marks. A photo style match from Getty images is present for these games:
vs. San Diego Chargers (Away) – November 17, 2002.
vs. Arizona Cardinals (Home) – November 25, 2002.
vs. Seattle Seahawks (Home) – December 01, 2002.
Interestingly, it was an item that came directly from the famous purchase of Terrell Owen’s Storage unit as reported by TMZ. Overall, it is a great NFL collectible by itself but since it came out of the unit with the provenance of being owned and worn by Owens it makes it that more special.
