1980 Gentle Giant Civilian Tee Shirt World Tour Vintage Concert

Gentle Giant were an English progressive rock band active between 1970 and 1980. The band was known for the complexity and sophistication of its music and for the varied musical skills of its members. All of the band members were multi-instrumentalists. Although not commercially successful, they did achieve a cult following.

Presented is an original concert tour tee shirt from Gentle Giant – Civilian World Tour 1980. The tan shirt is vintage 1980 and measures 15.5″ across the chest and the 25.50″ from top of collar seam to bottom. Vintage tagging is size (S) 34-36. Nice band logo with hat on the front and blank back.

This lot is from the T-Shirt collection from the estate of Chuck Landis (aka Largo) veteran promoter, concert best known as co-founder of the Roxy West Hollywood rock club in the early 1970’s and in 1980.  Many of the T-Shirts come from performances that were at the venue.  They have been locked away for many until now. 

The Rox bar was a regular hangout for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon Heidi Fleiss in the 1980s.    So you can only imagine what stories can tell?
