Men at Work are an Australian rock band formed in 1979 and best known for hits such as “Who Can It Be Now?” and “Down Under”. Its founding member was Colin Hay on lead vocals and guitar. After playing as an acoustic duo with Ron Strykert during 1978-79, he formed the group with Ron Strykert playing bass guitar, and Jerry Speiser on drums. They were soon joined by Greg Ham on flute, saxophone, and keyboards and John Rees on bass guitar, with Ron then switching to lead guitar.

Presented is an original concert tour tee shirt from Men at Work 1982 Tour Business as Usual tour. The black shirt is a vintage tank top and measures 18.5″ across the chest and the 26.50″ from top of collar seam to bottom. Vintage tagging is Sneakers (L) 42-44. Nice art logo and 1982 Business as Usual Tour information on the back.

This lot is from the T-Shirt collection from the estate of Chuck Landis (aka Largo) veteran promoter, concert best known as co-founder of the Roxy West Hollywood rock club in the early 1970’s and in 1980.  Many of the T-Shirts come from performances that were at the venue.  They have been locked away for many until now. 

The Rox bar was a regular hangout for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon Heidi Fleiss in the 1980s.    So you can only imagine what stories can tell?

A list of some of the musicians that performed at the Roxy Theatre West Hollywood:  Neil Young, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Guns N’ Roses, Frank Zappa, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Warren Zevon, The Ramones, George Benson, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Comedians: Phil Hartman, Elayne Boosler, Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), Tom Eyen , Lu Leonard, Adrienne Barbeau, Sally Kellerman.
