Presented from the Lynyrd Skynyrd 1977 Street Survivors Tour is this extremely rare full ticket. It is a super rare ticket as it is not just a stub but a full preserved by someone who missed the event of a lifetime. The concert took place in Anaheim was held on August 27, 1977. The concert also featured performers Ted Nugent, REO Speedwagon and Foreigner. This concert was one of the very last the original band members of Lynyrd Skynyrd performed in.

The following concert they had was in Las Vegas (8/29). They had no scheduled concerts in September and resumed back on October 13th. After four October concerts, a plane crash took lives of several members on October 20, 1977. The ticket here that survived as full (but barely as it’s creased and shows wear) is encapsulated and graded PR 1.

The Street Survivors Tour was the sixth major concert tour by American Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. The tour took place in North America, Europe and for the first time Asia. What turned out to be the final tour of the original band had the ominous title, “Tour of the Survivors”, and truly was as three band members were killed in a plane crash on October 20, 1977, the day after their show on October 19, 1977, in Greenville, South Carolina, which was the fourth date of their forty-five day tour. The band was flying to the next date of its tour in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

On October 20, 1977, three days after releasing their album Street Survivors, Lynyrd Skynyrd performed at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium in Greenville, South Carolina, and boarded a Convair CV-240 airplane to take them to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where they were to perform at Louisiana State University. The plane ran out of fuel near the end of the flight.

Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist/vocalist Steve Gaines, backing vocalist Cassie Gaines, assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, Captain McCreary, and First Officer Gray all died in the crash. Most of the survivors had been seated toward the back of the plane. The survivors, all of whom were seriously injured, were transported to different hospitals for treatment and were not immediately aware of the fatalities. Rossington, for instance, was not informed until days later by his mother in the hospital that Van Zant had been killed.
