He had several of his peers sign the baseball including Hank Aaron. The 1968 Atlanta Braves season was the third season in Atlanta and the 98th overall season of the franchise. The team went 81–81 in the final season of play before both the American and National Leagues were split into divisions the following season.

Ted Davidson was a left-handed Major League Baseball relief pitcher from 1965 to 1968 for the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves. He was called “Ted” after the initials of his first, middle, and last names.
