Presented is a ONL (Giles) baseball that was autographed by members of the 1968 Atlanta Braves team. This ball comes directly from the Ted Davidson collection. He had several of his peers sign the baseball including Hank Aaron. Other signers include Cecil Upshaw; Ted Davidson; Sonny Jackson; Felipe Alou; Claude Raymond; Ken Johnson; Tito Francona; Mike Lum; George Stone; Dick Kelley; Marty MartÃnez; Milt Pappas; Clete Boyer; Deron Johnson; Pat Jarvis; Félix Millán; Jim Britton and others. Manager’s autograph of Lum Harris is on the sweet spot. The baseball itself shows natural toning throughtout.
The 1968 Atlanta Braves season was the third season in Atlanta and the 98th overall season of the franchise. The team went 81–81 in the final season of play before both the American and National Leagues were split into divisions the following season.
Ted Davidson was a left-handed Major League Baseball relief pitcher from 1965 to 1968 for the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves. He was called “Ted” after the initials of his first, middle, and last names.
