1966 Ted Davidson Cincinnati Reds Game-Worn Flannel Vest COA Family Lettery -100% Authentic Team

This flannel was worn by Ted Davidson and is photo-matched.  It comes directly from the family and the photos are also from the family.  This is a very desirable flannel style for the game-worn jersey collector.  “Cincinnati” is sewn on the front with dual tackle twill with the players numeral “36” also sewn on the front of the flannel.  It is a six button style gray flannel.  Macgregor Made in the USA green tag is sewn in the color with the size “44” .  White MacGregor Set 2 1966 Made in the USA  tage is sewn underneath the front tag tail with the wash tag sewn on underneath.

“36” player numeral is sewn on back in dual tackle twill red on blue.  “Davidson is sewn directly onto the back of the jersey in single layer cloth with zig zag stitch underneath the “36” player numeral.  Vest has the black cloth stitched on arm border lining sewn on.  Jersey shows moderate use.

Ted Davidson pitched in 114 major league games from 1965 to 1968, posting a career ERA of 3.69 and striking out 124 batters. A left-handed reliever with a deceptive delivery, Davidson debuted with the Reds in style, striking out four Astros in 2.2 scoreless innings and inducing a double play from future Hall of Famer Joe Morgan—the first batter he faced in his career. His best season came in 1966, when he recorded a 3.90 ERA over 54 relief appearances, 21 games finished, and four hard-earned saves. The Reds expected him to take on a larger role in 1967, but a domestic shooting incident that spring left him seriously wounded and delayed his return until June. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves in June 1968 and made his final MLB appearance on July 28. Though his career was brief, Davidson’s resilience and early promise remain part of baseball’s complex tapestry.
