To Have and to Hold Buy War Bonds – official U.S. Treasury poster – to encourage the purchase of war bonds to support the U.S. military in World War II – a baby with pleading eyes asks for help. This poster was printed by the U.S. Treasury Department and was apparently created for the Sixth War Loans campaign. The 6th war loan began in November 1944 with a goal of $16 billion. Previous bond drives had raised $355 billion, including $38 billion from private individuals. 28″x 20”, it will be shipped without the glass. The poster has some wear, and it was originally folded into a square, so it does have those original creases.
