Ted Williams featured in Sports Illustrated magazine issue November 25, 1996. “The kid at 78 on baseball, fishing, family, and the hell of growing old”. Rounding Third several strokes had robbed Ted Williams of much of his fabled eyesight, but at 78 he was as cantankerous as ever and was enjoying fatherhood at last.
