This item originated from a movie magic specialist in the film industry. He worked behind the scenes of the special effects department tirelessly. He is known for creating and painting designs that help actors morph into the characters they portray or transforming the entire imaginary world around them.  Among many films, he has worked on I Am Legend (2007), Independence Day (1996) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).

Presented are items from his personal collection. Some of the items are direct from film sets and others are project models he has worked on. The work on the props and models are beyond hobbyist as these pieces were touched by an artist who has a highly technical and advanced skill. He is now ready to bring his form of art to market and have it appreciated by all the movie buffs or monster collectors out there.

One of the films that he appreciated was the 1954 feature film, “Creature from the Black Lagoon”. Presented is one of the most iconic movie characters from the fright film. This is the REVENGE of the CREATURE.  He made it in tribute cast from the original mold from the film. It was indeed a central character to it — the Gill-man. The highly detailed head portion in a plaster like material texture offered here measures approximately 15.5″ tall. This one shows wear and flaking throughout.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is a 1954 American black-and-white 3D monster horror film from Universal-International, produced by William Alland, directed by Jack Arnold, that stars Richard Carlson, Julie Adams, Richard Denning, Antonio Moreno, Nestor Paiva and Whit Bissell. The Creature was played by Ben Chapman on land and by Ricou Browning underwater.

The Gill-man—commonly called the Creature—is the lead antagonist of the 1954 black-and-white science fiction film Creature from the Black Lagoon and its two sequels Revenge of the Creature (1955) and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956). In all three films, Ricou Browning portrays the Gill-man when he is swimming underwater. In the scenes when the Gill-man is walking on dry land, Ben Chapman plays the Gill-man in the first film, followed by Tom Hennesy in the second, and Don Megowan in the third.

The Gill-man’s popularity as an iconic monster of cinema has led to numerous cameo appearances, including an episode of The Munsters (1965), the motion picture The Monster Squad (1987), and a stage show (2009). Despite this popularity, the Gill-man appeared in the fewest movies of all the Universal Monsters.
