Dated September 13, 1957, this courtesy letter was signed and dispatched from the office of the retired Harry Truman. Typed perfectly under the former president’s stately letterhead, the text reads: “Dear Sam: Thank you very much for the peaches. You are always thoughtful, and we more than appreciate it. Sincerely yours, [signed] Harry Truman.”
In any event, this is an ideal signature of Give ’em Hell Harry. The stationery is 10-1/2″ x 7″; with ample margin around; and with its expected compacting folds, it’s NM/MT. The black pen signing is in every consideration a solid (“9-10″), and the compacting folds are comfortably distant from the signature.
The letter is showcased in a display along with a photo, seal and name plaque (note, as someone counted on there fingers wrong, there’s an error on the plaque as Truman was the 33rd President). It measures 23″ x 25”. Nonetheless, the display is crafted well and ready for your situation room.
