On September 11, 1985, Pete Rose of the Cincinnati Reds achieved his 4,192nd hit, breaking Ty Cobb’s all-time MLB hit record. The game was against the San Diego Padres, and the historic hit was a single to left-center field in the bottom of the first inning. The game took place at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati.
