On Sunday, July 18, 1999, David Cone of the New York Yankees pitched the 16th perfect game in Major League Baseball (MLB) history and the third in team history, and the first no-hit game in regular season interleague play. Cone pitched it against the Montreal Expos at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, with 41,930 fans in attendance. As part of the day’s “Yogi Berra Day” festivities honoring the Yankees’ former catcher, before the game, former Yankees pitcher Don Larsen threw the ceremonial first pitch to Berra; the two comprised the battery for Larsen’s perfect game in 1956.

Presented is a display (15.75″ x 30″) which showcases David Cone and his Perfect Game on July 18, 1999. Cone autographed an 8×10 perfect game action color photo up top in black felt tip (“8”) with the inscription, “#36”. Centrally in blue felt tip (“9-10”), Cone autographed a ticket stub from the game along with his catcher Joe Girardi. Cone also inscribed the ticket, “P.G. 7-18-99”.

Lastly, below the ticket is a jubilant 8×10 photo of Cone being embraced by his catcher from the game. Both Cone and Girardi autographed it in black felt tip as well with Cone also dating it with the accomplishment, “P.G. 7-18-99” . What a remarkable display of Yankees history.
