Presented is a 2004 University of Florida OT Max Starks game issued Senior Bowl football jersey. The jersey was issued for Starks while playing for the South in the Senior Bowl. This jersey has a collar tag was produced by Russell Athletic and is a [size] XXL. The jersey has Senior Bowl embroidered across the front with the numbers and the “Senior Bowl Food World” emblem screened on. His number “79” is on the front/back in white/blue (screened on). Note, this was not a number he wore in college but later wore it for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His name “STARKS” also screened on is showcased across the back nameplate in white. The right sleeve has the Senior Bowl logo. The jersey does not show wear and has original inventory tagging in the collar.
Max Starks accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for coach Steve Spurrier and coach Ron Zook’s Florida Gators football teams from 2000 to 2003. During his time as a Gator, he won a Southeastern Conference (SEC) championship ring (2000) and blocked for record-setting Gators quarterbacks Rex Grossman (2000–2002) and Chris Leak (2003).As a senior, Starks was a team captain and first-team All-SEC selection.
