Kerwin Bell WFL Game-Worn Jersey Orlando Thunder COA 100% Authentic

Presented is a vintage WFL Orlando Thunder jersey worn by Kerwin Bell during 1991-92. The Thunder’s most visible point was their colors – the World Football League wanted to develop new colors which hadn’t been used for teams before, hence the fluorescent green jerseys that the Thunder sported. Today this might not seem like such a big deal, but back in 1991 when the team started it was pretty groundbreaking for its bold presentation.

The home jersey worn by Bell stands out for its fluorescent green body.  While the color may have been bold, it’s actually pretty basic it features the team’s helmet logos on both sleeves, and fairly standard block numbers. Bell’s number “12” in a green/white outline is present on the front/back/shoulder sleeves. The back features numbers in the same style, with screened-on NOB -“BELL” on the nameplate.

Both home and road jerseys had NOB rendered in blue serif block font. The sides have added Spandex and the tail features Wilson tagging with a [size] 46 and EX flap (tag). Overall, it shows mild-to-moderate wear with loose threading. Nice jersey from a solid player that was on a now defunct team.

The Orlando Thunder was a member of the World League of American Football from 1991 to 1992 (known as NFL Europe from 1995 onwards). The team played their games in the 70,000 seat Florida Citrus Bowl, and was coached by Don Matthews in 1991 and Galen Hall in 1992.

Kerwin Bell is an American football coach and former player who has been the head coach of the Western Carolina Catamounts football team since 2021. He played professionally as a quarterback for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), World League of American Football (WLAF) and the Canadian Football League (CFL) in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s.
