An original 1890s cabinet card of The Boston Strongboy – John L Sullivan – who ruled the brutal world of bare-knuckle boxing until the change to the Marques of Queensbury rules in North America. The sepia-toned photo is mounted onto a board measuring 4.25 x 6.5″. Great condition the image itself is unaffected, a remains bright and surprisingly clean for its age. This one was encapsulated by SGC as 10 POOR 1. The SGC holder has a 4″ crack on the front. it does not affect the card. see pic
