Chuck Jones Signed Hand Painted Bugs Bunny

Presented is a Chuck Jones hand signed “Surfin’ Bugs” hand painted cartoon cel. It was both hand painted and signed by animator Chuck Jones. This limited edition was created in 1987 and is numbered 82/200.

It features the image of Bugs Bunny Surfin’ upside down drawn by Chuck Jones himself, transferred into a Warner Bros Limited Edition masterpiece. The Cel is hand painted just like a production cel would be, but this image is better because it was specifically designed to be a piece of artwork. The cel itself is 16 x 13 inches in size. The display is 17″ x 20″. It features a bold black felt tip (“9”) signature of the animation legend, Chuck Jones.  It was certified by Linda Jones Enterprise which owns the Chuck Jones Gallery of San Diego. This piece is ready to hang, and will last a lifetime.

Chuck Jones was an American animator, cartoon artist, screenwriter, producer, and director of animated films, most memorably of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts for the Warner Brothers cartoon studio. He directed many of the classic short animated cartoons starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, the Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote, Pepé Le Pew and the other Warners characters. Like all the Warners directors, his Bugs Bunny characterization is unique to his films: Jones’ Bugs never attacks unless attacked.
