Yankee Greats Autograph Collection – Three Catfish Hunter Signed Autographed Photos (1) 8X10 & (2) 5×6
Jim Hunter was one of the most prolific pitchers of his time; his precision control was outstanding. Catfish was only the 4th (and last) American League pitcher to win 20 games in five consecutive seasons. (1971-75) He captured a Cy Young award and helped the Oakland A’s to three World Series in a row 1972 through ’74 before moving across the country to wear pinstripes. When he joined the Yankees, Hunter was the highest paid pitcher in baseball and continued to excel on the mound as the Bronx Bombers won three straight division titles that distilled to two World Series championships. This is a fine collection of memorabilia commemorating a pitcher whose Hall of Fame career ended too soon when he left the game due to complications from diabetes ,Signed are one 8×10 and two 5×6 photos. Hunter penned a 10 signature in blue pen.
