Here offered is a Billy Eckstine Signed & Inscribed 4×6 Vintage Cut

Billy Eckstine was an jazz and pop singer, and a bandleader of the swing era. He was noted for his rich, resonant, almost operatic bass-baritone voice. Eckstine’s recording of “I Apologize” (MGM, 1948) was awarded the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1999. The New York Times described him as an “influential band leader” whose “suave bass-baritone and “full-throated, sugary approach to popular songs inspired singers like Joe Williams, Arthur Prysock and Lou Rawls.”

The signature on this vintage album page is in black steel-tip fountain pen and grades a 9. Personalized and inscribed “To Roy, Sincerely Billy Eckstine”. There is another celebrity signature on the back (unidentified). Also comes with JSA Basic Cert & Sticker for top notch authenticity.

This item originates from the Roy Moseley collection. Moseley was one of the leaders in show business journalism in England. He wrote many books that appeared on the New York Time’s Best Seller List. Being an author in high regard had its perks, as he was closely connected to royalty and celebrities. Hence his notable work, “My Stars and Other Friends” provides a glimpse into the lifestyle us everyday people dream about. During his career, Moseley brilliantly gathered in person some of the finest autographs in the world. Some were personalized to him as a testament to their respect and kinship. Every celebrity has a story as well as every autograph Moseley obtained. Here now is one of those legacy pieces for your collection.
