Hopes for the New York Yankees’ 2006 season were extremely high, as they had one of the most potent lineups in baseball. Despite injuries and the talent, the Detroit Tigers displayed against them in October, the season had plenty of positives to savor, as some of the team’s up-and-coming stars established themselves as major contributors. While the season may have been quite different if not for the team’s health, the Yankees may never have discovered what their system had to offer.
