2000 Miami Hurricanes Sugar Bowl National Championship Ring

The 2000 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami during the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. It was the Hurricanes’ 75th season of football and tenth as a member of the Big East Conference. The Hurricanes were led by sixth-year head coach Butch Davis and played their home games at the Orange Bowl. They finished the season 11–1 overall and 7–0 in the Big East to finish as conference champion. They were invited to the Sugar Bowl where they defeated Florida, 37–20.

This ring originates from Bobby Revilla. In 1982 with the University of Miami’s athletic department, Revilla started out as a student manager. Over time he worked his way up to a full time head position and served as the head equipment manager. This allowed him to oversee all of the equipment needs and maintenance until 2012. Over his 30 year career, he was also fortunate to be part of all five of Miami’s football national championships. This item was well curated over time by Revilla and is ready to be part of a new legacy.

Presented is a 2000 Miami Hurricanes NCAA Championship ring that was given to Revilla. It’s solid 10k yellow gold and made by Herff Jones – engraved in the interior is “GM HJ 10K”. Around the center is “Miami Champions” with two sets of three pave set cubic zirconia gemstones.

The highlight portion is pave set into the center marquis shaped section with a bezel set cushion shaped green acrylic section and a total of (15) round full cut cubic zirconia gemstones. Embossed on one side panel is “Revilla Big East 11-1 2000” with a football helmet image.  Embossed on the opposite side panel is “Sugar Bowl Champions IJ UF 37-20” with a “2001” trophy in the center.  The weight is 41.5 grams and it is a size 11.
