1997 Trace Armstrong Game-Worn Jersey Dolphins – COA JSA & 100% Authentic Team

This Nike teal home jersey was game worn by Trace Armstrong during the 1997 NFL season. “Dolphins” appears stitched below the NFL shield on the front collar just above Armstrong’s number “93,” which is displayed in white/orange tackle twill. The collar tag patch is stitched “97-46”. His number appears in matching style on the shoulders and back of the jersey (with a drop shadow), where “ARMSTRONG” appears across the top in white/orange tackle twill on a nameplate. The Nike manufacturer’s tag is found on the front left tail [size] “46”. This jersey is properly tagged and shows appropriate use with scrunched identifiers, loose threads and soft malleable tagging. On April 4, 1995, the Dolphins traded a second and third-round draft pick for Trace Armstrong. He was acquired to fill a role as a designated pass rusher, a player who comes into the game in likely passing downs in an effort to give the team’s pass rush a boost. This is a role Armstrong filled the rest of his career; however, in five seasons, injuries to the starting ends forced Armstrong into a starting role. On October 12, 1995, Armstrong signed a five-year $8.9 million contract extension with the Dolphins. In 1996, Armstrong started nine games and recorded twelve sacks. He remained the starter in 1997 and returned to the “designated rusher” role in 1998.
