1992 Topps Stadium Club Murphy Factory Sealed Baseball Set w/ Derek Jeter RC Rookie

Presented is a 1993 Topps Stadium Club Murphy baseball card set. The set is still sealed in the package.

The 1993 Stadium Club Murphy set is a 200-card, Hobby-exclusive, set. The set features 100 Draft Picks, 56 All-Stars, all 25 members of the 1992 USA Olympic Baseball team and, and 19 post-season highlight cards. The set was packaged in a molded-plastic box designed to resemble San Diego’s Jack Murphy Stadium, the site of the 1992 MLB All-Star Game and each set came packaged with 12 over-size “Master Photo” cards.

Production was limited to 8000, 16-set cases or 128,000 sets — a production cut of almost one-third compared to the previous year’s product. Although the design mimics the 1992 Stadium Club set and both the printing on the outside of the box and the copyright date on the cards say “1992,” the set was released in March 1993, a full month after the release of 1993 Stadium Club Series One.

This set includes the second most prominent (after 1993 SP) rookie card of Derek Jeter — which is arguably tougher to find than any other Jeter RC due to the factory set distribution. A second-year card Nomar Garciaparra is featured in the Team USA subset as well.
