Presented is a Washington Redskins practice jersey that was worn by Reidel Anthony in 2002 during mini-camp and coach sessions (March-June). It’s rare that it is #15 which was Anthony’s college jersey number. According to the provenance, oftentimes players elected to do this at this time (use college #). The jerseys were custom made by the team (redone) when there was a changeover from Adidas to Reebok. They also replaced the NFL shield with a Reebok NFL shield logo on the front neckline.
There’s no name on the back nameplate. Reebok logos are located on both sleeves and are ribbed accented with a burgundy and gold band. The jersey iteself shows heavy wear throughout with discoloration, scratchs, hit marks etc. Note, it was custom cut along the bottom portion to Anthony’s specifications. It was photo style matched to him wearing it in some practice photos from that 2002 season. It’s also present on his Showdown trading card. This jersey was obtained at the team’s annual tent sale in 2004.
