Ron Boone is a legendary former professional basketball player (1968–1981) who played for the Utah Jazz during the 1980–1981 season. Known as an “Iron Man,” he set a pro basketball record with 1,041 consecutive games played.
Presented is a (Ron Boone) game-worn pullover (1980-81) warm-up jacket from the Utah Jazz. It originates directly from a team-source and epitomizes pro-basketball style in the 1980s. This one, in particular, can be dated to 1980-81 primarily because Boone only played during those years.
The warm-up shows the Jazz color including a striped pattern in yellow/purple/green across the front and highlighted collar/sleeve ends in the same colors. The front also features a screened on Jazz logo. The back of the jacket has a sewn-on name-plate with a screened on “Boone”. Consistent wear from an entire season can be seen throughout, with puckering and fraying.
